1 Happy Half Birthday!

This little girl is 2 and a half today and she got exactly what she wanted, snow!

3 Nesting

I know that nesting usually means for the baby that's coming, but I never got to nest with Kenzie. (I was too busy working and graduating from college). So this past weekend we went to one of my favorite places, Ikea. And we loaded up on things for Kenzie's room. She loves her bookshelves. And I love how she can reach the bottom one, and the top one is for her special books. (The ones we don't want her to destroy). 

Nick and I love books and I'm so happy that Kenzie loves them just as much. This morning when I got her from her crib the first thing she did was point to her books. She spends about 30 minutes a day flipping through her books and "reading" them.

2 My Little Sous-Chef

I'm sorry there haven't been any new crochet posts lately. I'm working on some orders for people and working on some New Year's resolutions. Like cooking more. 

She's a wild child. Her hair and face are all the proof you need.

1 Kenzie's 1/2 Birthday

She loved her presents. Hahaha. 

Kenzie always has to have her "ba" with her when she goes to sleep. But for this nap she wanted her bunny, rawr, and ba. She knows pretty much every animal sound there is to know. She is always saying tay-too (thank you). She hands me things all day long and says tay-too. She says please when she wants something. She knows how to say nanda (Amanda) and layla (Kayla) and mehma (Grandma). She knows over 50 words and is always jabbering, laughing, screaming, etc. 

She loves chips and salsa. And crackers, cookies, noodles, sweet potatoes, cottage cheese, bananas. She is a great listener. She loves to read books. She will sit in her room reading to herself and I'll hear a "dee end" (the end) when she closes her book. When we go pick up daddy at work or school she will recognize the building and point and say "daddy!" She says daddy all day long. She loves him so much.

She went to nursery on Sunday and did great. I however was going crazy. I'm the one with the attachment problems. Definitely thinking about homeschooling. She can fit into some of her 3-6 month clothes still. She's almost 20 pounds. She loves walking around the store while we're running errands and scouting out strangers to say hi to. And if she doesn't get the attention she wants she will repeat hi, hi, hi, hi until you say hi back. 

She loves giving raspberries on our bellies. She loves to give kisses and snuggles without us even asking! She loves to purposely hit her hand on the wall, walk over to me with her hand in the air and say "ow" for me to kiss it better. 

She is so smart. She loves to take things apart and put them back together. Especially my lipstick tube. She loves her new ABC puzzle. I'm really hoping she'll be like me and love puzzles. She finally likes to get messy. She loves Dora and when she wants to watch Dora she starts dancing around the room singing Dora, Dora, Dora. 

Can't believe my baby is 1 1/2.

1 Too Cute

Seconds after taking this picture she started tearing every book out of the bookshelf. She's really into pulling everything out and bringing it all to me. It's my favorite. We painted our toes green with sparkly butterfly stickers. And we tried going to story time at the library, but Kenzie had a melt down when I wouldn't give her smarties, so we left early. Don't get between that girl and her sweets!

0 This Little Girl

Makes me laugh every single second. 

Would you believe me if I told you I found her that way? No. Good, because I didn't. But she is always going over to the fridge and begging for food. So I put her in the fridge and let her pick out what she wants. It's usually cheese or strawberries. She eats more than me most days and still maintains her 18lb figure. How she does it I'd sure like to know!

2 How to Paint Baby Toes

These dry in seconds. It's amazing and the only way to paint baby toes. I stuck cookies in both of Kenzie's hands, put on her favorite Elmo movie and painted her toes as fast as I could. I added a cute little sticker and her toes are ready for summer! Aren't baby toes the cutest?

0 My cure for depression

I was having a really bad Saturday and was determined to just pout the whole day until we made a fort and snuggled. It was just what I needed to snap out of my mood. (And the taco's and rice pudding for dinner might have helped too).

This was Kenzie's first fort and she was really excited about it.
