2 Sunshine Vacation

We had a blast with my family in Arizona and Mexico. It was 60 degrees and gorgeous. It was hard coming back to the snow. My family spoiled Kenzie and she was attached to my sisters Kayla and Amanda instantly. Our favorite was her yelling, "Layla!" (Kayla) all day long. The day we got in we went to the Phoenix Zoo. It's my favorite zoo.

Flamingos are the weirdest and otters are the cutest!

I have pictures of me when I was little playing on this elephant.

Over the weekend we went to our condo in Rocky Point, Mexico. We swam everyday, saw dolphins, and played games. I even crocheted a little.

She's a little model. I couldn't get enough of her in her swimsuits. Can't wait for summer.
Touching the ocean for the first time. Later that day she practically took a running leap into it.

We spent the last couple of days playing with my cousin and her cute kids.

They loved pudding paint. And by the end of the day they were bouncing off the walls.

We also went to Organ Stop Pizza, which is the coolest pizza place. If you're ever in Arizona you must go. It's like Disneyland. And a trip to Arizona would not be complete without a Bahama Bucks. The best shaved ice you'll ever taste. We sure do miss my family, but we are so happy to be home.

0 Christmas

We spent 10 days in Oregon this year for Christmas. Here are some of the highlights of our trip.
Kenzie saying "more, more" after she opened each present.

I was spoiled this year! I can't wait to learn all about my new camera and make lots of cupcakes with my new Kitchenaid mixer.
Wings and Waves Waterpark. Coolest waterpark. The slides come out of the 747 on top of the building. If you ever visit Oregon, you have to go. Definitely my favorite part of our trip.
The Children's Museum. So many fun interactive exhibits for kids.

We also went ice skating, went shopping in Portland, went to Saturday Market and Falafel, had pizza and movie night at Grandma's, went on a date to the taco stand and Sherlock Holmes, played lots of games, and ate way too much food. We're so grateful to be able to visit family. Tomorrow it's back to reality--school, work, laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc. Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas break!

1 Oregon

Well, we're off to Oregon bright and early tomorrow morning to spend Christmas with the in-laws. I can honestly say I am so excited to spend Christmas in Oregon. I'm looking forward to playing an unhealthy amount of board games, Christmas lights down Peacock Lane, Powell's Books, Buffalo Wild Wings, shopping (no sales tax!), a day trip to Seattle, taco stands, baby-free dates, family Christmas parties, cookie decorating at Grandma's, staying up late watching movies, Kenzie getting lots of attention,  and getting to see my husband all day for 10 days!

Any suggestions for things to do in Oregon?

1 Vacation in AZ

First off. Head over here to see what my amazing husband did while I was gone for a week in AZ.

My family flew Kenzie and I out for a week to spend in the warm Arizona sun. It was heavenly. I had lots of babysitters and shopping buddies and may have bought myself a bunch of birthday skirts.

Kenzie loved having so much attention and playing with other babies. My mom watches a 14 month old (Eva) and she kept giving kisses and hugs to Kenzie. It was adorable. Lincoln (my cousins baby) came and played with us and we put them in the baby pool and gave them ice cream cones. They loved it!

I was completely unproductive until the last day when I woke up at 5 in the morning ready to craft. My mom took me to this amazing craft warehouse and I bought a bunch of fabric and whipped up a nursing cover for my sister's friend and a couple of elastic waistband skirts.

Melissa wasn't too thrilled when I told her to model the nursing cover.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of my skirt, but here is a link to the tutorial I used. The best part: it has pockets!

It's nice to be home, but not for long. We leave for Oregon Saturday morning! Just enough time to unpack, do laundry, and repack!
