Have you ever run out of a color of yarn and been so excited to finish your project you just grab the nearest skein of yarn and finish your project anyway? Well, that's how I created this color blocked beanie. And I've got to say I'm kind of in love with it. It just started getting cold enough here to wear beanies and I couldn't be more excited. I'm whipping up lots of beanies/scarves/mittens/leg warmers/ear warmers/basically anything that needs to be warm this winter is getting a crocheted accessory.
What are you working on this winter?
Project Details
Yarn: Hobby Lobby I love this cotton
Hook: Size G
Pattern: http://www.bernat.com/vickiehowell/
(similar, the one I used is not available anymore)
Hey! I've made TWO of that hat- such an easy pattern- it was my first hat ever and it turned out perfect! I love your twist on it!
ReplyDeleteThough it's no longer on the Caron site, you can view (and save as a PDF) the cached version at:
http://tinyurl.com/UrbanJungleHat
or Google "vickie howell urban jungle" and the last result on the page is the Caron link (which will redirect to Bernat if you click it, so don't click it). Instead, click on the Quick View link, and it will open the pattern in Google docs! :)
Hope this helps! :)
I was going to make the same beanie!
ReplyDeleteI got to the point where I was going to do the puff stitch but my yarn wasn't the right one (it looked really weird, like half your're size) so I'm heading to my yarn shop and buy other yarn because I want this beanie sooo bad! And seeing it at you makes me want to have it immediately :)
