4 Crochet for a Cause

I have been looking for a crochet service project lately so it was perfect when my mother-in-law emailed me about this project. I worked with special needs kids in high school and college and really just love them all. If you click on the picture it will take you to the website explaining the project. It also lists the different states that are participating and when the deadline to submit scarves is. The website also has lots of patterns you can use to make the scarves.

The Utah deadline is February 15th. And as of December 6th they only had 93 scarves out of the 300 they need. So, who's with me? I'm going to make at least 3 scarves. How many are you going to make?

  3. Hello Andrea! This my first visit to your blog and I must say I enjoy it very much!!! Your story of how you met your husband is so sweet and I was smitten. The two of you make a very cute couple and the Lord has blessed you both with such a beautiful and precious little angel, hope she's not a handful...but what soon to be two year old wouldn't be huh? Has any one ever told you that you resemble "Rachel McAdams"? I hope that it's okay to say that...and by the way, I mean that in a good way!!! She's one of my favorite actresses! Ok, well now to crochet talk. I was given a pattern of the Special Olympics scarf a few months ago but I had no idea that they were needing scarfs. I'm from Raleigh NC and our deadline date is set for Feb. 1st. I will try to do as many as I can from now till the end of the month. So I want to thank you for inspiring me to help these special young men and women out! So continue posting and sharing the things that make you happy my friend because it's contagious,"happiness"...something I definitely don't mind spreading around!!! :) God Bless
